News...

So we got some news today.

We aren't certified Foster/Adoptive Parents...yet. But we should know something, hopefully tomorrow! However we did get some other, rather exciting news today!

They have already called us to schedule a weekend visit with a set of 3 kids! I am beyond excited. I don't think there is a word for it! There is 2 boys and 1 girl in this group of kids, ages 11, 10 & 7.

Surely they wouldn't want to place kids with us, just to deny us certification right? That would be just plain mean.

So hopefully, this weekend we will have kids at our house! Know I know that anything is possible, and that the kids could absolutely hate us, but what if they love us! I have been praying for God to prepare the our hearts for "our" kids and their hearts to want to learn about His amazing love for them. No matter how much we love them, or they love us, they have to learn about God's love, or no amount of human love will fill that void in their heart.

I do have another prayer request...
I know that there are some out there that have been waiting for a very long time, and aren't making any progress at all on their certification (not because of them, but because of the workers!) So I would like for us all to pray for them in particular, that progress starts to be made, and that they will become parents sooner, than later! I don't "know" them personally, but from what I have read on her blog, I know she will be a wonderful Biblical mother to any kid that is to come into their home!

  2. Hi John, Thanks for stopping by. I went and checked out PrayerMarket.com. I however, don't think I am intersted. I do believe in prayer and I KNOW that prayer works. But I don't think I want to be paid for praying, when I feel that is something that should come instantly when you see someone with a need. I feel very strongly about this and think that way too many Christians and being bought by the world and are compromising themselves by getting paid to do something that we are commanded to do by Jesus.
